The palm-size H-12 PEM fuel cell system designed by Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies includes a rated 12W air-cooled, air-breathing and self-humidified PEM fuel cell stack with integrated fan and aluminium casing, a miniature pressure regulator and a 20L metal hydride storage system. No electronics are needed to control the fuel cell system. The palm-size fuel cell weighs only 225g and measures only 7.6 x 5.6 x 4.7 cm. At maximum power output, the H-12 system consumes 220 ml of H2 per minute, and has a peak power of 20W.
